At the end of the current Bundesliga season FC Augsburg (FCA) will set off to their first international travel overseas to America. The club will also play two test matches in the north of the US during their tour, planned for May 2020, through Wisconsin and Minnesota.
First, FCA will meet Forward Madison FC at Breese Stevens Field on May 23, 2020. The Wisconsin team finished their debut season in the third strongest American league, USL League One, in 3rd place.
Four days later, on May 27, 2020, the Bundesliga team will play Minnesota United FC on the home turf of the Allianz Field. The fourth-placed team of the Western Conference of the Major League Soccer is already looking forward to meeting the popular guest from the Bundesliga. “We’re thrilled to continue our relationship with the Bundesliga by welcoming another historic club to Allianz Field. […] We look forward to showing FC Augsburg what our incredible fans, the Wonderwall and Allianz Field are all about.” (Chris Wright, CEO Madison Forward FC, 21.12.2019)
